Privacy Policy

• All your data lives on your device. We never see it.
• No accounts, no login, no server-side user data of any kind.
• No analytics, no advertising, no third-party tracking SDKs.
• No data brokers. We don't sell anything to anyone.
• Uninstall the app and everything is gone.

TAOBAR uses your location in two ways, both entirely on-device:

• Geofencing — to send you a quiet notification when you arrive near a saved place. This uses iOS region monitoring, which wakes the app briefly when you cross a radius boundary. Your coordinates are never logged, stored, or transmitted anywhere.
• Map view — to show your current position on the in-app map relative to your saved spots. Again, processed locally and never leaves your device.

We never store your location on any server, never share it with third parties, and never build a movement history.

TAOBAR uses your camera and photo library to let you add profile pictures for people and places you save — for example, a quick photo of your bartender or the front of a new spot.

• Photos are stored locally on your device only.
• Nothing is uploaded to any server, ever.
• If you choose to save a photo to your camera roll from within the app, it goes directly to your device's Photos library — not to us.

TAOBAR can optionally access your contacts to pre-fill a person's name when you add someone. That's the only thing we use it for.

• Contact data is read on-device and immediately discarded after you confirm the name.
• We never store your contacts, sync them to a server, or share them with anyone.

TAOBAR's premium features are unlocked through Apple's StoreKit. All payment processing happens entirely through Apple.

• We never see, receive, or store your payment information.
• We receive only a confirmation from Apple that a purchase was made, which is used to unlock the feature on your device.

• All app data — places, people, notes, visit history, your profile — is stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage.
• Deleting the app permanently deletes all your data. We have no copy of it.
• We have no access to your app data. There is no backend, no database, no sync service.

• If you signed up at taobar.app, your email is stored securely and used only to notify you when the app is available.
• We don't share it, sell it, or use it for anything else.
• You can request deletion at any time by emailing hello@taobar.app.
